402 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 15, Mr, Radcliffe presented the petition of Thomas J, Seward, John Weeden, William Lambden, William James, Thomas Lecompte and one bundled and seventy-three other citizens of Dorchester county, praying the passage of a law prohibit- ing non-residents of Dorchester county from catching diamond- lack Terrapins in the creeks, coves and other tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, within the limits and jurisdiction of Dorchester county, with dredges, scoops and all other devices. Which was read, and referred to the Dorchester delegation. Mr. Linthicum submitted the following order: Ordered, That Mr. Hardcastle be excused from attendance at this House until Tuesday next. Which, was adopted. On motion of Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City, it was . Ordered, That the Committee on Claims have leave to sit during the session of the House. Mr. Bowie submitted the following order: Ordered, That hereafter the hour of meeting of this House hall be 11 o'clock. Which was read. On motion of Mr. Routzahn, Leave was granted the Frederick delegation to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Frederick county to make an appropriation for the purpose of constructing fish ways in the Monocacy river. On motion of Mr. Scott, Leave was granted the Prince George's delegation to in- troduce a bill, to repeal section 38 of the Code of Public Lo-cal Laws, title "Prince George's county." sub-title "Bladensburg," and to re-enact the same with amendments. On motion of Mr. Routzahn, Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill, entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest of Joseph Walt- man, late of Frederick county, deceased, to the trustees of the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation, at New Jerusalem, near Lorettsville, in the county of London and State of Virginia, or the Treasurer thereof, and legalizing the same. On motion of Mr. Wilmer, ' Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce a bill to continue in force the Acts of Assembly relating to fees of Constables and Justices of the Peace. |
