LAWS OF MARYLAND.
grant, franchise, right or privilege, that may be given
said company by the Congress of the United States,
the Legislature of said district, and any corporation
or individual in said district, so far as the same may
relate to any portion of said. railroad that may be
constructed in said district.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said com-
pany is hereby authorized to run a line or lines of
steamers from any point or points in the county of
St. Mary's, on the main line or branches of said road
authorized by law, to Norfolk, Virginia, and any
other port or ports.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 187.
AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and nine
of article eleven of the Code of Public Local
Laws, entitled " Frederick county," and to re-en-
act the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemble of
Maryland, That section one hundred and nine of ar-
ticle eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws, enti-
tled " Frederick county," be repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
SEC. 109. The Register shall annually, at least ten
days before the election for members of the City
Council, publish in two newspapers of said city, one
of which shall be of opposite politics to the other, a
full and particular statement of all receipts and dis-
bursements, the salaries and per diem of all officers
of the corporation, and. all extra allowances that may
have been made to any officer of the corporation, and
