Which was read the first time, and,
On motion by Mr. Earle,
Referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings.
Also, from a Select Committee to which leave had been
granted, reported
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal Article LXXXVII. of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Sheep," and to re-
enact the same with amendments.
Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Earle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, entitled an Act to amend an Act passed.
January Session, 1870, chapter 441, by repealing and re-en-
acting the same, relating to fees and. accounts of county
officers.
Mr. Davis, from a Select Committee, to which had been
referred
The House bill, entitled an Act to make valid the action
of the Local Board of Road Supervisors in Baltimore county,
reported favorably thereon.
Said bill was then read the second time.
Senate bill, entitled an Act to protect the class of small
birds known as Insectivorous Birds, in Harford county,
Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Carroll submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend—After "Hanging Bird," the words "or Wood-
pecker."
Amend by inserting in section 3, line 4, after the word
Harford, "Howard, Queen Anne's and Calvert Counties."
Section 4, line 2, strike out "county," and insert "coun-
ties."
Section 4, line 6, strike out "county," and insert "coun-
ties."
Which were adopted.
Said bill as amended, was read the second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, to which leave had been granted, reported
