Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for
the first election district of Dorchester county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Meekins submitted the following amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 7, after the word "County," insert the fol-
lowing : and also an additional Justice of the Peace in the
fifth election district of said county ; line 8, strike out the
word "an," and insert the word two.

Which were severally read and adopted.

And the bill, as amended, read a second time, ajid or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 10,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Dorchester Coun-
ty," sub-title, "Justices of the Peace and Constables," to
come in after section 124,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to transfer the sum of money ap-
propriated by chapter 303, section 1, Acts of General Assem-
bly of 1860, to the Elkton and Sassafras Railroad Company,
from said Company to the Elkton and Mas&ey's Railroad
Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the town
of Westernport, Allegany county, passed at January session,
1868, chapter 40,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 58, of Article 16,
of the Code of Public General Laws, under the title of
"Chancery," sub-title ''Jurisdiction," as amended, and re-
enacted by chapter 348, of Acts passed session of 1808, and
section 60, of said Article, 16 of the Code of Public General
Laws, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Being upon a second reading.

Mr. Chapman proposed the following amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 58, line 16, after the word "where," insert the
words: part only of, and strike out the words: "do not"
in same line.
