CHAPTER 40.
|
|
AN ACT to authorize the Trustees of Mechanics-
town Academy, Frederick County, Maryland,
or their successors, to sell and convey said
Academy, and distribute the proceeds of the
sale thereof among the stockholders.
|
Authorized
to sell.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Arthur, Frederick White,
John Rouzer, Godliep I. Sigmund and Leonard
Picking, the present Trustees of Mechanicstown
Academy, Frederick County, Maryland, or their
successors in office, be and they are hereby fully
authorized and empowered to sell and convey the
said Academy with the lot upon which it is erected.

Distribute.
|
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said
Trustees who dispose of the said Academy shall
have authority to distribute the net proceeds of
the sale thereof among the stockholders according
to the number of shares held by each.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to refund to I. S. McCartney, of Ha-
gerstown, Washington County, the sum of
twenty-five dollars, erroneously paid into the
Treasury of the State ;
