Which was read the first time.

Mr. Welch, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
the leave was granted, reported, a bill entitled an Act to in-
corporate the Peninsula Railroad Company of the Eastern

Shore of Maryland.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Clarke, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom

was referred House bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Western Maryland Extension Railroad Company, reported
it with the following amendment :

Amend by inserting the names of C. C. Fulton and Fred-
erick Raine, of Baltimore city.

Which was read and adopted.
The section, as amended, was then read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 299 of 1868, entitled
an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter 290, entitled an Act
to add a new Article to the Code of Public General Laws to
be entitled "Public Roads," except so far as said Act relates to

Somerset county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Somerset, Calvert and Kent counties.

A bill entitled an Act for the payment of an annual pension
to Wm. Brown, of Annapolis, who lost his arm whilst in the
employ of the State.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Pensions.

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article
29 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Courts," pro-
viding for rendering judgment for the damages awarded by the
jury upon the ratification of inquisitions for condemning lands.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section four of chapter 466 of
1868, entitled an Act to run, define and mark the dividing line
between Prince George's and Montgomery counties, and to re-
enact the same so as to read as follows.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Finance.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
