In August 1989, the Governor formed the
Governor's Committee to Review State Policy for
Funding Maryland's Chesapeake Fisheries The Com-
mittee was to evaluate the condition of fisheries as a
resource and make recommendations on their future
mamgemcnc The Committee submitted its report,
Tlic Role of the Suite of Maryland m Oyster Fisheries
Management, along with recommendations on the
Fieslwater Hatchery Program and the Witermen's
Compensation Program, in September 1990
