TION. The funds appropriated are the State's
share of the pension fund for disabled firemen
or for widows and children of deceased firemen

CIVIL AIR PATROL, MARYLAND WING.
Fort George G. Meade 20755. The funds ap-
propriated are to pay the State's contribution
to the Maryland Wing, Civil Air Patrol, to be
used for basic operating expenses. Appro-

BALTIMORE URBAN COALITION, 330 N.
Charles St., Baltimore 21201; Gerhardt M.
Hoff, chairperson; Mary E. Banks, Executive
Director. Seeks to provide social justice with-
out upheaval, promote racial harmony, and
serve as an advocate for the vulnerable—
yoking, aged., poor, and. others. Organized into
a number of task force committees in the areas
of health and welfare, education, legislation,
criminal justice, employment and economy,
and housing. Appropriations: 1977, $10,000;
1978, $10,000; 1979, $12,500.
COUNCIL OF STATE GOVERNMENTS, P.O.
Box 11910, Iron Works Pike, Lexington, Ken-
tucky 40511; Brevard Crihfield, Executive Di-
rector. The appropriation represents Maryland's
proportionate share of the Council's operating
expense. The Council is an umbrella group of
various organizations such as the National Con-
ference of State Legislatures, the National Asso-
ciation of Attorneys General, and the National
Conference of Lieutenant Governors, among
others. The Council, founded in 1933, is a ser-
vice organization that publishes a variety of
books, pamphlets, and newsletters, conducts re-
search ranging from spot inquiries to in-depth
analysis of issues, and arranges meetings and
seminars for the regional branches of its affiliate
organizations. Appropriations: 1975, $31,310;
1976, $31,310; 1977, $31,310; 1978, $31,310;
1979, $41,100.
