The Watermen's Advisory Committee was created by Chapter 428,
Acts of 1971. It consists of one representative from each of the six-
teen tidewater counties and one from Baltimore City, elected to one-
year terms expiring on July 1, 1972. The Committee is to make rec-
ommendations from time to time to the Director of the Fish and
Wildlife Administration concerning regulations governing the com-
mercial catch of the various types of seafood taken in Maryland waters
(Code 1957, 1970 Repl. Vol., 1971 Supp., Art. 66C, sees. Ill, 112A).

The Commission of Forests and Parks consists of seven members,
appointed by the Governor, to serve five-year overlapping terms. The
Commission elects its own officers. One member is appointed on the
recommendation of the Maryland State Grange; one on the recommen-
dation of the Maryland Farm Bureau; one shall have practical expe-
rience in the lumbering industry; one shall be a resident of Garrett
County; and three members shall be appointed for their general
interest in the advancement of forests., parks, and recreation in the
State. The Commission serves as an advisory committee to the
Governor and Director of the Department (Code 1957, 1970 Repl. Vol.,
Art. 66C, sec. 343A).
