Thomas. * By Chapter 371, Acts of 1965, the State was divided into eight Congressional Districts. These changes were to be effective for the election of the eight representatives in the primary and the general elections of 1960. However, a referen- dum petition will cause the election of the eighth representative to be from the State ait large. By terms of the Act, the boundaries of the Congressional Districts were adjusted as follows: First District: Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Harford, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somer- set, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester Counties and the 6th, 7th, and 10th Election Districts of Baltimore County. Second District: Baltimore County, except Election Districts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. Third District: Wards 1. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, .10, 12, and 26 and precincts I through 77 of Ward 27 of Baltimore County. fourth District: Prince George's County. Fifth District: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Howard, Bind St. Mary's County and Ward 25 of Baltimore City. Sixth District: Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett and Washington Counties and Election Districts 4, 5, and 8 of Baltimore County. Seventh District: Wards 4, II, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, precincts 78-105 of Ward 27 and Ward 28 of Baltimore City. Eighth District: Montgomery County. ' 1 Resigned in November, 1791, the question of ineligibility owing to his residence having been raised. 2 Elected, to fill vacancy caused by resignation of William Pinkney, and tools his seat February 6, 1792.
