SAMUEL W. BARRICK, Democrat, Frederick County; born in
Woodsboro, September 27, 1924. Attended Woodsboro and Frederick
public schools; Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, Pa.; Severn
School, Severna Park, Md.; Gettysburg College, A.B., 1948; Univer-
sity of Maryland Law School, LL.B., 1952. Admitted to the Maryland
Bar, 1952. Served as navigator with U. S. Army Air Force, 1943-
45. Member, American, Maryland, and Frederick County Bar As-
sociations. Secretary, Frederick County Bar Association, 1957-58.
Member, Board of Directors, Frederick County Heart Association.
Former director, Frederick Junior Chamber of Commerce. Farmer
member, Standing Committee, Independent Hose Company. Member,
American Legion; V. F. W.; Grange. Married. Member of the Senate
since 1959.

JOSEPH A. BERTORELLI, Democrat, Baltimore 1st; born in Bal-
timore, June 10, 1911. Attended Baltimore public schools; Baltimore
College of Commerce. Professional Musician. Served in the Asiatic-
Pacific Theater with the U. S. Navy, 1944-45. Former special assist-
ant to the Mayor of Baltimore. Former member, Baltimore City
Council. Past vice-president, Musicians Local No. 40 of Baltimore
City. President, Italian-American Civic Club of Maryland, Inc. Past
president, 'Southeastern Community Council. Member, Eagles;
Knights of Columbus. Past commander, American Legion Post No.
177. Member, Catholic War Veterans. Married. Member of House of
Delegates, 1947-55. Member of the Senate since 1955.

J. RAYMOND BUFFINGTON, JR., Democrat, Baltimore 3rd; born
in Baltimore, May 23, 1911. Attended Baltimore City College; Wil-
liam and Mary College; American. University, A. B., 1933; University
of Baltimore, LL.B., 1957. Admitted to the Maryland Bar, 1958.
Member, American Bar Association; Masons; Shrine. Married. Mem-
ber of the House of Delegates, 1943-59. Member of the Senate since
1959.

ROBERT P. DEAN, Democrat, Queen Anne's County; born in
Ridgely, Caroline County, April 9, 1909. Attended Caroline County
public schools; Washington College, A. B., 1931; Sperry Gyro School,
New York, 1934. Master of ocean vessels, 1939. Farmer. Served in
cavalry, C.M.T.C., 1926-29. Past president, Queen Anne's County
Farm Bureau; Centreville Rotary Club. Married. Member of the
Senate since 1966. Chairman, Agriculture and Natural Resources
Committee, 1959 Session.

GEORGE W. DELLA, President of the Senate, Democrat, Balti-
more 6th; born in Baltimore, February 9, 1908. Attended Baltimore
public schools; University of Baltimore, B.B.A., 1932; University of
Baltimore Law School, LL.B., 1935. Admitted to the Maryland Bar,
1936. Past Master, Corinthian Lodge No. 93, A.F. & A.M. Potentate,
Boumi Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S., 1959. Member, Baltimore Country

WALTER B. DORSEY, Democrat, St. Mary's County; born in St.
