LEWIS F. WARD, Republican, Somerset County; born at Crisfleld,
Maryland, January 23, 1888. Attended Crisfield Public Schools.
Employee of express company. Married. Member of the House of
Delegates 1926-1930, 1946..

HARRY I. WARREN, Democrat, Baltimore County; born at Balti-
more, April 22, 1911; attended Boys' Latin School of Baltimore, the
University of Virginia, and The Johns Hopkins University, graduat-
ing in 1936. General Agent, Life Insurance Company. Served as
Lieutenant Commander, U. S. Navy Amphibious Forces, Pacific Fleet,
1942-1946. Married. Member of the House of Delegates 1938-1942;

re-elected in 1942 but resigned to enter the Navy; re-elected in 1946.

ALAN WEBB, Democrat, Dorchester County; born at Vienna, Mary-
land. Farm manager. Former Mayor and Town Commissioner of
Vienna. Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1942.

BEN WEINTRAUB, Democrat, Baltimore 2nd; born July 10, 1903.
Graduated from the University of Maryland with LL.B. degree.
Attorney. Unmarried. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1939.

HARRY WENIG, Democrat, Baltimore County; born at Dundalk,
Maryland, September 29, 1898. Assistant Foreman electrical depart-
ment, Bethlehem Sparrows Point Shipyard, Inc. Former Trial Mag-
istrate Baltimore County, 1938-1946; Member of Baltimore County
Youth Commission; Chairman of the Board of Directors Twelfth
District Democratic Club; and former President of that organization.
Married. Appointed to the House of Delegates in 1949.

EDWARD HOMER WHITE, JR., Democrat, Wicomico County; born at
Salisbury, April 5, 1911. Attended public schools in Salisbury, and
William and Mary College, Williamsburg, Virginia. Merchant.
Served as 1st Sergeant, 722nd M.P. Battalion, in the European Thea-
tre during World War II. Married. Elected to the House of Dele-
gates in 1946.

HORACE P. WHITWORTH, JR., Republican, Allegany County; born
at Westemport, Maryland, November 9, 1912. Attended the public
schools of Westemport; Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, Penn-
sylvania; Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, and the Law
School of the University of Maryland, graduating in 1936. Attorney.
Served as Communications Officer aboard the U.S.S. Tutuila, with
rank of Lieutenant, 1943-1946. Married. Elected to the House of
Delegates in 1946.

HENRY C. WIGLEY, Democrat, Anne Arundel County; born at
Millersville, Maryland, April 8, 1884. Attended the public schools of
Anne Arundel County. Farmer. Married. Appointed to the House
of Delegates in 1948.

PERRY 0. WILKINSON, Democrat, Prince George's County; born at
Hebron, Maryland, March 21, 1905. Attended the public schools of
Wicomico County, and the University of Maryland, graduating in
1928. Master of Arts from the University, 1936. Insurance and bond
business and former teacher and athletic coach in the public high
schools of Maryland. Married. Elected Speaker pro tern of the
House 1948 Special Session and 1949 Regular Session. Elected to
the House of Delegates in 1942.

J. FRANKLIN WINKLER, Republican, Charles County; born at La
Plata, Maryland, September 2, 1909. Attended the public schools of
Charles County. Merchant. Former Deputy Treasurer of Charles
County. Married. Elected to the House of Delegates in 1946.
