MARYLAND MANUAL. 295
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
(Proposed by Chapter 584 of the Acts of 1935)
Amendment to Section 13 of Article 3 of the Con-
stitution of the State of Maryland, title "Legislative
Department," providing for the appointment of per-
sons by the Governor to fill vacancies in the General
Assembly of Maryland, instead of calling a special
election to fill same; and further providing that the
appointee shall be of the same political party as the
person whose office is to be filled, said appointment
to run for the unexpired term thereof.
