LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

Approved March 28, 1868.

 

CHAPTER 236.

AN ACT to repeal the Charter incorporating the
town of Snow Hill, in Worcester County, and
enact the following in lieu thereof:

Repealed.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Sections 128, 129, 130, 131,
132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 142,
143, 144, 145, 146 and 147 of the twenty-second
Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Worcester County," sub-title "Snow Hill,"
be and are hereby repealed, and that the following
Sections and sub-Sections, under the sub-title
"Snow Hill," be and are hereby enacted in their
stead :

Title.

128. The citizens of the town of Snow Hill, in
Worcester County, a body corporate by the name
of the Commissioners of Snow Hill, and by that
name may sue and be sued, and may have and use
a common seal, and may alter the same at pleasure.

Limits.

129. The bounds and limits of said town are as
described in the plats thereof on file, and of record
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Worcester County.

Election.

130. The free male white citizens of Snow Hill
who have lived in said town six months preceding
the election, and the free male white citizens of
Worcester County who own any real property or
houses in said town of the age of twenty-one years
or upwards, are required on the first Monday of
May annually to elect seven persons who are quali-
fied voters of said town, who have resided therein
twelve months previous to the election, and who
at the time of said election are conducting some
