Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also, returned the following Senate bills :
Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to prescribe the number of names to
be selected and placed in a box, from which a panel of jurors
shall be drawn for Wicomico county.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Mere-
dith Ford and Jarrettsville Turnpike Company, in Balti-
more and Harford counties.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
Councilmen of the city of Cumberland to purchase in the
limits of said city not exceeding thirty-three acres of land,
to be conveyed to the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Com-
pany for the purpose of erecting thereon a rolling mill and
other improvements, and to issue bonds to pay for the
same.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Balti-
more and Hampden Passenger Rail Road Company, passed
at January session, 1865, chap. 32, page 43.

With the following proposed amendment:

Strike out in the title the word "Page," and the figure
"43."

Which was adopted, and
The bill as amended passed by yeas and nays as follows:

money to pay the Hon. Philip F. Thomas, for public
services.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.
