Said bill was then returned to the Senate.

Mr. Ford moved that the House do now adjourn until to-
morrow morning at 9 o'clock;

Which was decided in the negative.

Mr. Magruder moved that the House take a recess until 3
o'clock, A. M.;

Which was not concurred in.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 3 and 4 relating
to appeals from courts of law of article 5 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Appeals," and to re-enact the same
with amendments;

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading, and made the order of the day for Thursday,
March 21st, at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Clarke moved a call of the House;

Which was sustained.

Upon the call of the Roll, the following members res-
ponded to their names:

Messrs. Morgan, Beck,Williams, Cameron, Ford, Shipley,
Nicolai, Davis, of Charles, Dennis, Parsons, Golibart, Whit-
aker, Lindsey, Magruder, Calvert, Rouzer, Buhrman, Baker,
Linthicum, Gorsuch, Appleman, Steiner, Tobey, Bishop,
Burche, Turner, Neilson, Flaherty, Robson, Hooper, Knott,
Lankford, Stevens, Boswell, Davis, of Baltimore city, Feig,
Bixler, Pitts, Aydelott, Gordy, Nelson, Devecmon, Neale,
Benton, Poole, Criswell, Gore, Dawson, Horsey, King,
Hammond—50.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Baltimore city.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was ordered to notify the absent
members to give their attendance, and to bring them before
the bar of the House.

After some time, the Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and re-
ported that he had notified all the absent members in the
city, and brought them before the bar of the House.

On motion of Mr. Robson,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

On motion of Mr. Magruder, -

The House at 1 1/2 o'clock A. M., Thursday,adjourned until
9 o'clock A. M.
