Mr. Stirling submitted the following amendment:
Section 44. Strike out after the word "all, " in line six, and
insert, "Corporations may be formed under general laws, but
shall not be created by special act, except for municipal pur-
poses, and in cases where, in the judgment of the General
Assembly, the object of the corporation cannot be attained
under general laws; "
Decided in the affirmative.
Mr. Stockbridge submitted the following amendment:
Sec. 44, line 9. Amend by striking out the word "article, "
and inserting the word "section; "
Decided in the affirmative.
Mr. Belt submitted the following amendment:
Section 47. Strike ont the words "and West Virginia, " in
the third line;
The question being on the adoption of the amendment,
Mr. Belt demanded the yeas and nays;
The demand being sustained,
