tion 205, of Article 16, of the Maryland Code of Public
General Laws in giving bond with but one surety."

On motion of Mr. Putzel,
Recommitted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings.
Also favorably,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to add an additional section
to Article 75, of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled ‘Pleading, Practice and Process,' to be known as
‘Section 15 A,' of said Article."
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings reported unfavorably,
Joint Resolution that the President of the Senate and
the Speaker of the House, jointly, shall name and. ap-
point a commission, to consist cf five discreet persons, re-
siding in Baltimore city, which commission shall have
the power to discharge the duties hereinafter mentioned,
and shall, by a full and thorough investigation, ascertain
the cost of the present property, plant and appliances
now used in the supply of gas to the city of Baltimore,
acquiring right of way and easements, the amount ex-
pended in constructing the same, and the equipment of
the works now owned by the Consolidated Gas Company,
as well as other expenditures and investments, the cost
of production and delivery of gas at the burners.
Mr. Bryan moved that the Joint Resolutions be sub-
stituted for the unfavorable report.
The roll was called and the motion was rejected by
yeas and nays, as follows:
