1900.] OF THE SENATE. 1203 Also, House bill entitled "An Act to add two additional sec- tions to Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Crimes and Punishment,' under the new sub-title- ‘Protection of Employees,' to come in after section 169,. and to be known as ‘169 X and 169 Y,' to forbid employ- ers from restraining and preventing employees from joining labor organizations, and providing a penalty for violation thereof." Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays." Which was read the first time and referred to the Com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings. Also, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 37, of Article 19, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Comptroller,' as amended by chapter 205, of the Acts of 1898, and to re-enact the same with amendments." Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays." Which was read the first time and referred to the Com -mittee on Finance. Also, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 31, 32, 34 and 36 of Ar- ticle 65 of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Militia,' as re-enacted by chapter 89 of the Acts of As- sembly of 1896, and to re-enact the same with amend— ments, and to add additional sections to said Article 65, Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Militia,' ‘as re-enacted by chapter 89 of the Acts of Assembly of 1896, and by this Act to be known and designated as ‘Sections 14 A, 50. 51, 52 and 53.'"
