LEAVES TO INTRODUCE BILLS.
On motion of Mr. Norris,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to pay the claim of Robt.
W. Moffett, of Kent county, for State tuxes paid in
error. "
On motion of Mr. Kendall,
Leave was granted to the Kent county delegation and
to Mr. Bast, to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to re-
peal the Act of 1896, chapter 193, and to authorize the
County Commissioners of Kent county to provide for the
building of a public school house in Chestertown, and to
build the same, and to issue bonds to pay for the same,
and to levy an annual sum to pay such bonds and the in-
terest thereon, as they may mature, and for other pur-
poses. "
On motion of Mr. Mitchell,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize
the Board of County School Commissioners of Harford
county to establish on Academic Department in the
Jarrettsville public school, in Harford county. "
On motion of Mr. Scrimger,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland, to a
deed, sale and conveyance made by Caroline L. Stone and
James C. Stone, to the John Wesley Methodist Episcopal
Church of Baltimore city. "
Also,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board
of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city, to increase the
pension of Wm. J. Lowdenslager, a retired policeman of
the police force of Baltimore city. "
