Sin of fornicacon and upon the body of Geeles Macklegeer hath got a bastard Chilld Contrary to

Lawes of Allmighty god the Constitucons of this Province & Evill example & Scandall of his
Lopps:
good people & therefore his Lopps: attorney Craves Judgement agt: the Said Devorex as in Law

And the Said Devorex appearing & Geeles Macklegeer who affirmed before the Cort: that he y Sd: Drieger
was the ffather of her Chilld & This Cort: Judgemt: is that y sd: Devorex is the deputed father of her last
Chilld
borne of the body of y Sd: Macklegeer & ordrs: that the Sd: Devorex be of the good abearance & duering
the pleasure & give Security for maintenance of y Chilld to indempnifie the County yt: the Chilld be no
parish Charge.
Thomas Willis acknowledgeth himselfe in recognizance before the Court in
the summe of foure thousand pounds of tobacco to be paid to Collo: Coleborne
or his heires for the use of Somr:set County to be leavied on his goods
lands
& tenements the Condicon is that if the Sd: Thomas Willis Save
harmless
& defend the County of Somr:set from any Charge or trouble of the last bastard Chilld
borne
of y body of Geeles Muckgeer untill the Sd: Chilld Comes of age then this -
Recognizance to Stand void otherwise to Stand in full force & virtue -
Devorex Drieger & Edward Jones acknowledgeth before the Cort: this day to Witt
the 13th: day of March Ao: Do: 1687 To Stand indebted to the Rt: honr:ble the Lord Propry: in y full & Just

or quantity of ten pounds money Sterl: to be Leavied on eithr: of there Lands tenemts: & Chattles
or goods The Condicon of this recognizance is that if y above bound Devorex Drieger doth well &
truly behave himselfe to his Lopps: & all the good people of this Province untill he Shall be released by
the Cort: from this recognizance that then to Stand void otherwise to remaine in full force & virtue

John Richins being sumoned by the Sherife to shew Cause (if any he have) to answr: unto his
Lopps: for not attending & appearing on the Jury for tryall of Causes he being impanelled by
the Sherife to attend last January Cort: The Said John Richins appearing made appeare before
the Court a Lawfull excuse & thereupon this Cort: Dissmisses from any further tendance ~ ~

before the Cort: a Lawfull excuse & thereupon this Cort: dissmisses him from any further
tendance.
