Know all men by these presents that I William Seamore of Somr:set County Grants me my
heires executors: & admrs: to pay or Cause to be well truly paid unto John Strawbridge of the
County aforesaid his heires executors: & admrs: the full & Just sum of six hundred &
seaventy eight pound of good marchantable tobacco to be pd: the next gber wch: Shall
be in the year 1687 as wittnes my hand and Seale this 4th: day of Xber Ao: Do: 1686
It is to be understood yt: the said quantity of tobacco is to be paid in any
place Convenient in Somersett County this done before Signing & Sealing

in an accon of Case/
And whereupon the plte by Thomas Poole his Attorney Comes & Saith that he the Sd:
Seamore Came indebted unto the plte the full & Just Sume of four hundred Sixty Two
two pounds of tobacco as pr accot: here in Cort: produced the wth: he the Sd: Seamore
Did faithfully promise to pay unto y plte when thereunto required but he the
Said Seamore fraudulently intending the plte to deceive of the Sume aforesaid
doth denie & Still doth denie to pay the Same although often thereunto required
by the plte whereupon the plte Saith he is Damnified & hath Damadge to the value of
nine hundred pounds of tobacco & thereupon brings this Suite / ~ ~ ~

And thereupon this Cort: orders that William Seamore deft: pay unto Jno: Strawbridge
