Sommrsett Ss: Robert Millner late of this County was sumoned to answr unto Edmund Beauchamp one of the
ministers of this Court in a plea of Trespass upon y Case : / : ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And whereupon y said Edmund Beauchamp by Thomas Jones his attorney Complaineth yt whereas y said
Robert Millner neare or upon y twentieth Day of february in y Two & fortieth yeare of y Dominion of Ca
cilius &c and in y yeare of or Lord God 1673: Bought had & received of y said Edmund severall goods
wares & merchandizes amounting to y Summ of Six hundred twenty & Six pounds of Tobacco a particular
whereof is here in Cort: brought which Said Summ of six hundred twenty & Six pounds of Tobacco
him upon y said Robert upon himselfe Did assume & to the said Edmund did faithfully promise yt
him y said Robert y said Summ of six hundred twenty & Six pounds of Tobacco to him y Sd Edmund
would well & truly pay when thereunto required notwithstanding which y said Robert his promise
& assumpcon little regarding but fraudulently intending him y said Edmund to y said Six hundred
twenty & Six pounds of Tobacco to deceive though often thereunto required hath not paid but y same
to pay Doth still refuse whereupon y said Edmund Saith yt hee is Damnified & hath Losse to y value
