24 Sommersett Ss James Gad was summoned to answer unto John
Taylor in A plea of Debt ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~
And whereupon the said John by his Attourney George Hasfurt
saith That the said James became Indebted unto him the said
John the Just summe of Two hundred & fifty pounds of good
sound grosse Porke as by A Certaine specialty will more
plainely appeare here in Cort: produced signed with y hand
of him the sd: James bearing Date y 26th: day of ffebr: Ao: Do:
1672 wherein the said James Did Assume upon himselfe
and promise to pay unto the said John his heires or assignes
the sd: quantity of 250lb: of Porke upon the Last day of January
next Insueing the Date of y sd: specialty And for y performance
whereof the said James bindes himselfe his heires executors:
and admrs: but he the said James Little regarding his promise
and Assumpcon fraudulently intending to Deceive him
the said John of the said 250lb: of Porke Denyeth and
Still Doth to pay the same Although often thereunto
Required The plaintiffe saith he is Damnified and
hath Dammadge to y vallue of 500lb: of Tob: & Caske
