The plt: & deft: being Called appeare before the board
The plt: desires his Declaracon may be read and is vizt
Sommersett Ss:
William Broadwell late of Sommersett County was
Attached to answer unto Robert Cattlin in an accon of the Case &c
And whereupon the said Robert Cattlin for himselfe saith that Wm:
Broadwell ingaged and promised to pay unto him the said Robert
Cattlin ffoure pare of french ffalls mens and one pare of boyes
shoes and to pay mr: Smith for A pare of stirrup Leathers the
which bargaine was for the Consideracon of three hundred pounds
of tobacco the which the said Broadwell Stood indebted to him the
said Robert Cattlin the said Agreement being made in the
month of october Last in the XXXXth: year of the Dominion of
the Rt: honble: Caecilius &c Ao: Do: 1671 But he the said Broadwell
Little regarding his promise and Assumption made to him the said
Robert Cattlin; Pretending (though ffalsely) That he was to pay but
three pare of shoes and the stirrup Leathers) Which the plt: saith
is five pair as by evidences will be made appeare; the plt: saith
he is Dampnified and hath Dammadge to the vallue of three
hundred pounds of tobacco and there upon brings his Sute &c.
The plt: desires that the Deposicon of John Tyserd
may be taken who was subpa: by the plt: to the testifie
the truth of his knowledge in the Cause Dependings
