Sommersett Ss Leonard Jones Late of Cagers Island in the province
of Maryland was Attached to answer unto John Wahap
in A plea of Debt &c ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And whereupon the said John Wahopp Saith by his Attorney
Allexander Draper that he the said Leonard Jones did upon
the second day of August Annoq Domini 1671 by A Certaine
specialty signed with the hand and sealed with the Seale
of him the said Leonard Jones (wch: is produced here in
Cort:) assume upon himselfe and promise that he the said
Jones woulld pay or Cause to be paid unto John Wahap of
St: Maries County in the province of Maryland one thousand
seaven hundred sixty and five pounds of marchantable
Leafe tobacco to be paid to John Wahop or to his Certaine
attorney heires executors: admrs: or assignes upon demand
after the 10th: day of october next insueing the Date of the
sd: specialty within the precincts of St: Georges hundred
in the County of St: Maries To the performance of
which he bindes himselfe his heires executors: and
administrators
