[MM] Alexander Adams v [WB] John Caldwell Appeale from Decree in
Chancery Errrs filed; [WB] Charles Carroll Esqr v [EJ] Robert Tilers Lessee
Appeale from the Provl Court writt of Diminution issued Errrs filed, The
aforegoing four Causes are Continued untill next Court

At a Court of Appeals held before his Excellency the Governour and his
Lordships Honourable Council for hearing Appeals and Writts of Error
held in the Council Chamber at the Port of Annapolis on the first Tuesday
of July being the 2d Day of the Same Month Anno Dom 1728.
Present: His Excellency Benedict Leonard Calvert Esqr Govr; The Honrble
Wm Holland Esqr; Philemon Loyd Esqr; Benj8 Tasker Esqr; Philip Lee Esqr
and Charles Calvert Esqr.

The Court Adjourns Untill to Morrow Morning 9 of the Clock before
noon.

Wednesday July gt 1728

The Court meet According to Adjournment

Present: His Excellency the Governour; The Honrble Wm Holland Esqr;

Philemon Loyd Esqr; M.T:Ward Esqr; Benja Tasker Esqr; Philip Lee Esqr;

Charles Calvert Esqr, of the Council.

This Day the Honrble Wm Holland Philemon Loyd and Mathew Tilgh-
man Ward before Philip Lee Esqr took the Oath of Judge According to the
Direction of the Act of Assembly Entituled An Act Ascertaining the form of
Oath of Judge or Justice.

Eodem Die July 3" 1728.
[EJ WB] William Vernon v [Atfy Gent] King and Lord Prop'y

Heretofore as it appears in the Records and Entries of this Court to
[728] Witt on the Thirteenth Day of February Anno Dom Seventeen hun-
dred and Twenty Seven the Right Honrble the Lord Propry Directed to his
Lordships Justices of the Provl Court his Writt Close Which follows in these
words.

MARYLAND ss. Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Province of
Maryland and Avalon L,ord Baron of Baltemore etc. To our Trusty and well
beloved Wm Lock Esqr and his Associates Justices of our Provl Court Greet-
ing because in the Record and Process and also in rendering Judgment in an
Indictment which was in our Provl Court before Wm Holland Esqr and his
Associates Justices of the Same Court Agt Wm Vernon late of Ann" County
Planter Otherwise Called Wm Vernon of the County of Annarundell Planter
as it is Said Manifest Error has happened to the great Damage of the Said
Wm Vernon as of his Complaint we have reced We being Willing that the
Error afd if any there has been Should in due manner be Corrected and
Speedy Justice Done to the Said Wm Vernon in that Part Command you that
