period limited for installing their debts; as the business might by this means croud [sic] in
Such a Manner as to prevent a proper examination into each case, and the interests of the indi-
viduals might possibly be sacrificed to that of the public, [p. 147] moreover if the
parties should fail to satisfy the Board at their first application and should not have left time to
amend what is defective within the limited period they will certainly lose the opportunity of
installing; as the Board are resolved to adhere implicitly to the direction of the Act.

Lastly the debtors are cautioned to pay a strict attention to the forms prescribed by the
Act for authenticating their Writings of Consent &c. The exceuse of small deviations would
lead to the introduction of greater. The parties may therefore assure themselves that any negli-
gence in this particular will subject them to disappointment.

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to Capt. David Lynn One hundred and
twenty two pounds, fourteen Shillings and two pence balances of the five months pay from the
1st. of August 1780 to the 1st. January 1781 due to the following Soldiers per Certificate of
Auditor General:

William Wilson 2d. Regm't. one pound six shillings and eight pence.

Thomas Jones 5th. Reg't. Sixteen pounds, ten shillings

Henry Osten 2d. — Twelve pounds ten shillings

George Craigs 4th. Twelve pounds ten Shillings

Alexander Levi do. Twelve pounds ten shillings

William Martin 6th. Ten pounds, fifteen shillings

Morris Citizen 2d. Twelve pounds, ten shillings

William Ellis 4th. Twelve pounds ten shillings

William Sterling State do. . Eight pounds seventeen shillings and six pence

Richard Faraby 4th. Ten pounds, five shillings

Thomas Elliott 3d. Twelve pounds ten Shillings

[p. 148] John McDaniel of Prince Georges County was appointed Inspector of Piscatta-
way Warehouse in the room of Richard Clagett, who has resigned, and Commission issued to
John Hancock Beanes and the said John McDaniel Inspectors of the said Warehouse.
The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning.

Monday 8th. February 1790

The Council met.
