George Dent was appointed Surveyor of Allegany County and Commission issued
accordingly.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Friday 22d. January 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

The Petition of John Warren of Baltimore [p. 141] town praying the remission
of a fine of six hundred pounds of Tobacco, and thirty shillings Current Money, imposed on him
by the Criminal Court for Baltimore County at November term last, being read and considered,
was rejected.

Commissions issued to Edward Burgess, AEneas Campbell, Joseph Wilson, Samuel
Magruder, James Offutt, Richard Thompson, John Holmes, William Smith, Laurence ONeal,
Bernard Oneill, William Gaither, Thomas Johns and John Peter appointed Justices of the
Peace for Montgomery County, and to Edward Burgess, AEneas Campbell, Joseph Wilson,
John Holmes, and Laurence ONeal appointed Justices of the Orphans Court of Montgomery
County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 23d. January 1790

The Council met.
Present as on Yesterday.

Clement Hill was appointed a Commissioner of the tax for Prince Georges County in the
room of John Contee who has declined to Act.

Commissions issued to the following persons appointed Inspectors :

Baltimore town
Henry Stevenson and Solomon Hillen ........ .Fells point Ware house

Prince Georges County

Charles Claggett and William Bowie 3d ....... Upper Marlb'ro. Ware house

Richard Stonestreet and Giles Dyer ........ Broad Creek.

John Baden, of Tho's., and Edward Swann. .... .Nottingham

James Wilson and Naylor Davis ......... Magruders

Tho's. Ramsey Hodges and Tho's. Lyles ....... Queen Anne

The Council adjourned 'till Monday morning.

The Council met.

The Honorable John Kilty, James Brice
