Commissions issued to William Russell and Samuel Sterett appointed Associate Justices
of Baltimore County.

John De Butts and Charles Chilton appointed Associate Justices of St. Marys County.

Tuesday 24th. July 1792

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo. Uriah Forrest Sixty seven
pounds, ten shillings for Six months half pay due him the 1st of August next. [p. 114]
That the said Treasurer pay to the said Colo. Forrest Thirty seven pounds, ten shillings for
one quarter's Salary as a Member of the Council due the 1st May last.

The Board having before them the several proposals for finishing the Dome of the Stadt
House, and having considered the same Mr William Gilmour's being the lowest, a Contract
was entered into with him for executing the Carpenters Work thereof, with John Shaw
Security in the penalty of five hundred pounds for finishing the same for the Sum of five
hundred Pounds,

Also with Thomas Dance in the like penalty for finishing the Plaisterers work of the
said Dome for the sum of Six hundred and ninety pounds upon the Supervisor, Mr Joseph
Clark's engaging to be answerable for all advances made to the said Thomas Dance by the
direction of the said Clark, either that work shall be done to the Amount or the Materials
that are purchased therewith to the value thereof given up by the State.

[p. 115] Saturday 28th. July 1792

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for Depreciation of pay to Thomas Davis
late a private in the Maryland line, and deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western
shore, who is ordered to pay it to Mary Drummond Administratrix of the said Thomas Davis.

Monday 30th. July 1792

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Thomas Forty three pounds
Current Money to be paid over to Jeremiah Banning due him on Account passed by the
Auditor,

That the said Treasurer pay to George Amoss Three pounds, thirteen shillings and six
pence Current Money in lieu of the like sum paid by Philip Madden deceased on a Special
Warrant to effect the reserved Lands, which Warrant is assigned by the said Madden to
the said Amoss.

Whereas Benjamin Nelson of Somerset County by his Petition sets forth that he was
