The Justices of the Peace for Frederick County are re-appointed.

Commission issued to John Usher Charleton appointed one of the Coroners of Frederick
County.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Thursday 15 December 1791

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

The Auditor General is requested to issue a Certificate of Depreciation to Jacob Hazle-
wood late a private of Colo. Moses Rawlings's Regiment [p. 16] who enlisted in the
Month of July or August 1776 as appears by a Deposition of Capt. Daniel Cresap, and
was discharged the 9th of August 1779.

Henry Ridgely Esquire appeared in the Council room, and qualified as a Member of the
Council before Alien Quynn Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel
County by taking the several Oaths required by the Constitution and Form of Government
and Laws of this State and making and subscribing a Declaration of his belief in the
Christian Relegion [sic], and also the Oath for the Support of the Constitution of the
United States: Certificate thereof filed.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Friday 16th. December 1791

Saturday 17. December 1791

The Council met.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Chase Esq'r. one hundred and
three [p. 17] pounds, six shillings and eight pence due him for two Months and 2
days Salary as Chief Judge of the General Court the 1st November last.

His Excellency George Plater Esq'r. attended.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Hemsley Esq'r. Fifty four
pounds, nineteen shillings and one penny specie agreeably to "An Act to advance the just
Debts due from this State" due him on the settlement of an Account by the Auditor the
nth Decemb'r 1790
