Benjamin Brookes Senr., Jonathan Slater, and Charles Maddox
appointed Coroners of Prince George's County.

Robert Armstrong appointed Coroner of St. Mary's County.
The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

The Council adjourned till Monday morning 11 o'clock.

Monday 13th. March 1786

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Hon'ble Jeremiah T. Chase

James Brice

Gabriel Duvall

John Kilty Esquires.

Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to James Brice
and John Kilty Esquires Fifty pounds Current Money, each, for one
Quarter's Salary as Members of the Council.

It is this Day agreed that Mr. Joseph Clark continue to make
the Repairs of the Stadt House, and the Governors House under
the Contract made between him and the late Intendant, until this
Board come into a particular Contract with him.

Commissions issued to Nicholas Worthington, Elijah Roboson,
Samuel Harrison, Alien Quynn, Samuel Harrison of Rich'd., Richard
Harrison, Thomas Tongue, John Burgess, John Brice, Richard
Harwood, Samuel Godman, Aquila Paca, Robert Couden, Frederick
Green, Richard Dorsey, Richard Cromwell, Richard Stringer and
Dennis Griffith appointed Justices of Anne Arundel County.

Nicholas Worthington, Alien Quynn, John Brice, Richard Har-
wood, Aquila Paca, Robert Couden and Frederick Green appointed
Justices of the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

[p 106] Tuesday 14th. March 1786

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Rogers
Esquire Chancellor, Two hundred and twelve pounds ten shillings
Current Money due him for one Quarter's Salary.

That the said Treasurer pay to Gabriel Duvall Esqr. Fifty pounds
Current Money for One Quarter's Salary as a Member of the Council.

That the said Treasurer pay to Jeremiah Townley Chase Esqr.
