The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock

Wednesday 16th. August 1786

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

Ordered That Mr. John Shaw deliver to Dennis Cregan late a
Soldier in the Maryland line One Stand of Arms, Bayonet and
Cartouch Box in lieu of One delivered by him to the Lieutenant of
Frederick County.

[p 161] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Thomas Fowler Five pounds due him for the maintenance of a
Soldiers Child five Months, allowed by the Board per Account passed
by the Deputy Auditor.

That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Couden Three pounds
twelve shillings for so much paid by him for the Maintenance of an
Orphan Child of a Soldier per Account passed by the Deputy
Auditor.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Thursday 17th. August 1786

The Council met.

Samuel T. Wright Esquires.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Philip Pifer
Two pounds, ten shillings and five pence and Conrad Licklider Seven
pounds thirteen shillings and ten pence specie agreeably to the "Act
to adjust the Debts due from this State," per Certificates of George
Scott and Philip Thomas liquidated by the Auditor General the 3d.
February 1786.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.
