William Hamlin and Robert Buchanan both of Kent County do
oblige themselves or Heirs to pay unto Benedict Calvert and George
Steuart Judges of the Land Office the Sum of two Pounds five
Shillings and ten Pence Current Money as it now passes As Wit-
ness our Hands this 24:th Day of October 1770

NB The above ffee to be agreeable to Proclamation WS.
I Thomas Elliott of Queen Ann's County do oblige myself or my
Heirs to pay unto Benedict Calvert and George Steuart Judges of
the Land Office the Quantity of three hundred and seventy five
Pounds of good and lawful Tobacco As Witness our Hands this
30:th Day of October 1770 The above ffees to be agreable to
Proclamation or Regulation of ffees which shall happen.

my Heirs to pay or cause to be paid unto Benedict Calvert and
George Steuart Judges of the Land Office the Quantity of three

ffees to be agreable to Proclamation or Regulation of ffees which

attend at the Bar of this House with Liber L. N.o 5 a Record Book
of Laws belonging to his Office

M.r Deye brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker the Petition of
Ann Gaither — Which was read

Ordered, That the same be referred to the Consideration of a
Committee and that they do examine the Matter thereof, and report
the same, as it shall appear to them to the House

M.r Deye, M.r N. Thomas, M.r Harrison, M.r Smallwood, and
M.r Adams are appointed the Committee accordingly And they have
Power to send for Persons, Papers and Records
