Ordered, That the Governor's Speech be read the second Time,
which was accordingly
Ordered, That Thomas Ringgold, James Hollyday, William Mur-
dock, Esq.rs Col. Tilghman, Thomas Johnson, John Hall, and John
Hammond, Esq.rs do prepare and bring in an Address to the Gov-
ernor on his Speech.
Ordered That the Hours of Sitting for Dispatch of Public Busi-
ness, be from Nine of the Clock in the Morning until Twelve, and
from Two of the Clock Afternoon until five
The House adjourns till Two of the Clock

Post Meridiem.
The House met according to Adjournment.
Ordered, That M.r Henry Hall, a Magistrate of Ann Arundel
County, do administer this Oath prescribed by Act of Parliament,
made the last Session, to M.r John Duckett, M.r Turbutt Wright,
M.r Thomas Duckett, and M.r Henry Wilkins, as Clerks to the
several Committees attending this House; and to Capt. Robert
Saunders, as Serjeant at Arms ; and M.r Cornelius Howard, as Door
Keeper to this House. He acquaints M.r Speaker they had severally
taken the said Oath
The Rules agreed to last Session are ordered to be observed as
such during this Session
The House adjourns till Monday Morning at Nine of the Clock

The House met

p. 108, adds "The House Adjourns till two of the clock. Post
Meridiem"]

M.r Earle and M.r Dent appeared in the House
Ordered, That M.r Baker and M.r Hanson, do go to the Upper
House with those Gentlemen, to see them take the Oath of Abju-
ration, prescribed by the Act of Parliament made last Session. They
return and acquaint M.r Speaker, that they saw the Gentlemen
take the Oath aforesaid, and subscribe the same
On Motion, Samuel Chase, and Thomas Johnson, Esq.rs have
Leave of Absence
Several Letters from Charles Garth, Esq.r directed to the Honour-
able Speaker of the House of Delegates of the Province of Mary-
land, were communicated to the House, by M.r Speaker, and were
severally read.
The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning at Nine of the
Clock
