Charles County Court Proceedings, 1668—1670. 147 above Named to these present Indentures have interchangeably Set Liber D their hands and seales the Day & yeare first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered togetherHenry Hawkins 0 wth possession by Livery and. SeisinNathan Barton 0 by Turfe and Twigge in psence of William Barton Junr John Walters his John Smyth Marke John Lambert Acknowledged this present Conveyance of Land [p.9] to John Godshall at the Court held in the County of Charles County in March Anno Dni 1667 This Indenture Made the tenth Day of March Anno 1667 Between John Lambert of Charles County in the province of Maryland Planter of the one part and John Godshall of the said province and County of the other part planter Witnesseth That the sd John Lambert as well for and in Consideration of a Servant Named Thomas Porch in hand paid before the ensealing and Delivery hereof by the said John Godshall whereof and wherewith the said John Lambert doth Acknowledge himsclfe Satisfied Contented, and paid and. thereof Doth Acquitt and discharge the said John Godshall his heires executors, and Administrators, and every of them by these presents as allsoe for diverse good Causes and Considerations him thcrcunto Moving Have graunted Bargained enfeofed Sold As- signed Set over and Confirmed unto the said John Godshall his heires Executors Administrators and Assignes all tht parcell of Land Called by the Name of hogge Quarter Scituate Lycing and being in Charles County and on the east Side of the fresh of Avon River formerly Called Nangemy Creeke adjoyning to Poynton Manner Beginning at a Bounded oake, and bounding on the East with a Line drawne North Northwest from the said oake for the Length of three hundred and twenty perches to a Bounde4 oake on the West with a Line drawn South Southeast from the end of the former Line to a Bounded Gummc tht standcth in the Exterior Line of Poynton Manner on the South with the sd Mannor Containing and now laid out for one hundred acres more or Lesse as it ap- peareth by pattent to the said John Lambert Bearing Date the 29th Day of July in the three and thirtieth yeare of our Dominion of our said province of Maryland Annoa3 Dni 1664, and now in the possession of the abovesaid John Godshall all and Singular which said parcell of Land together wth all and Singular houses Buildings Structures & edifices whatsoever thereunto Belonging or appertaining together with all the orchards gardens, pastures, feed- ings Commons Common of Pasture, ranges for hogges Woods underwoods Waters Water Courses fishings fowlings Wayes Ease- mcnts proffits Commodities, hereditamts whatsoever unto the said |
