Liber FF The Cnyen maketh another Proclamacon (uizt) Yow good men that be impanehl'd to enquire for the Rt Honble the Lord Proprietary for the Body of this Prouincc answere to yor names cueny man att the first Call upon paine & perill that shall fall thereon The names of the Grand Jury being as fohhoweth (uizt Foreman Thomas Sprigg Timothy Goodrige Randall Hanson George MacallWilliam King John Courts Henry HydeTho: warner George Beckwith James ThompsonRoger shchee Thomas Taylor Raphaehh Haywood John Gittings John Anderton Wm Meares The said Grand Jury being called by their names answered there- unto and were all sworne The Attorny Genenahh then dehiuens unto the Grand Inquest these Indictmts following Walter Let it be enquired for the Rt Honble the Lord Proprietary if Walter Indictmt Pake of St Lawrcnccs in Bnittons Bay in the County of St Manys Inhohdcr the twenty third day of Octobr in the ycare of Our Lord God One Thowsand Six hundred Sixty Eighte and in the seauen and thiretyth yeane of the Dominion of the said Ld Proprietor at the howse of the said Walter Pake at St Lawrences in Bnittons Bay in the County aforesaid by force and Armcs and of malice forethought upon William Price in the Peace of God and of his lordsp then and there being an Assault did make and wth a Certainc drawne sword of the uahuc of flue Shillings which he the said walter Pake then and there in his right hand did hold the said wihlm Price did on the left side his body thrust and peirce through to his right side under the souldier and by the same thrust a Certaine mortalh wound of the length of Seauen inches and the bnedth of one inch to the said willm Price did giuc of which montahh wound the said william Price Immediately did dye, and further if the said walter Pake wth the same Sword which he then and there in his night hand did hould one other mortahh wound in the throate of the depth of three inches and bredgth of one inch to the said william Price did giue soc that the nerte said william Price of the last wound had dyed if he had not dyed of [p.652] the former wound to him by the said walter Pake Giuen and soc if the said Walter Pake at St Lawnences afoncsaid in the County afore- said in mannen and forme aforesaid feloniously and of malice fore- thought did kill and murder Contrary to the peace of his said lordsp his Rule and dignity Will Calucrt The Euidences Peter Gramane Rupert Birkenhcad Thomas Couant |
