Somerset County Court Proceedings, 1665 1668. 613 said To Haue and to Hould the same unto him the said William Liber B No. 1 Plannor his heires and assignes for ever; The same to be houlden of Caecilius absolute Lord & proprietary of the province of Maryland and his heires as of the mannor of [blank] in free & Common soc cage by feallty onely for all mannor of servises yeillding & paying therefore yearely unto him & his heires att his receipt att st Maryes att the 2 most usuall feasts in the yeare (vizt) att the feast of the Anunsiation of the blessed virgin Mary & att the feast of Michaell the archangell by even & equall porcons the rent of six shillings star linge in sillver or golld & upon a fine of every alienation of the said Land or any part or parcell thereof one years rent in sillver or goild or the full vallew thereof in such Comodity as he & his heires or such officer or officers appointed by him & his heires from time to time to Collect & receiue the same shall except in discharg thereof att the choice of hym & his heires or such officer or officers as aforesaid the said sume for a fine before such allienation upon record either in the provinciall Courte or County Courts where the said parcell of Land Lyeth within one month after such allienation the said alliena tion shall be voyd & of none effect; Moreover the said Thomas Price & Katharine his wife doth hereby allsoe Covenant & grant to & with the said William Plannor his executors administrators and assignees; That he the said Thomas Price & Katherine his heirs or assignes or his or there or any of their Councell Learned in Lawe shall be rea sonable devised advised & required so as for the makeing doeing & acknowledging executing suffering or per formeing such further Acte thinge devise and Conveyances as shall be thought fitt by the Councell learned in Lawe aforesaid for the Confirmation of the prmises wth warrenty from all men: In Wittnes whereof wee haue hereunto sett our hands & scales this eleventh day of January In the yeare of or Lord one thousand six hundred sixty & flue Signed sealed & deliuered at a Court held at the house of Tho: Poole att the easterne shore in the Province of Maryland the 10th of Jan: 1665 before us the subscribrs wch were Commissionated by the Leiut: gennerall of the Province Aforesaid George Johnson John Winder recorded the 10th January 1665 by George Johnson Entred the 12th January 1665 To all people to whome these presents shall come Knowe yee tht I Phillip Barre of Manonoakin in the province of Maryland plantor for & in Consideration of one steer about the age of three years & one ewe being cropt one the left ear & slitt one the right to mee in hand payd before the signing sealing hereof haue bargained & soulld & by these prsents doe bargaine allienatt & sell unto Charles Flail of |
