the Interest due thereon the 8th of November last to Three hundred
and Eighty three pounds eighteen shillings and four pence Current
Money, which is examined & approved

The Council Met

Present His Excellency William Paca Esquire Governor
The Honble Gabl Duvall, John H. Stone, John Davidson & Charles
Wallace Esq"
The Board took into Consideration the Claims of several of the
Officers and men, belonging to the Barges employed in the Bay of
Chesapeake against the Refugees under the Act entitled "An Act for
the Protection of our Bay Trade, and to Defend our Citizens exposed
to Plunder by the Enemys Barges " and made the following
Allowances
To the Commodore for Board Whilst in the City of Annapolis on
Actual Duty Ten shillings per Day. —
To each of the Captains and Lieutenants seven shillings and six
pence per Day

To the Men who were enlisted for twelve Months, the Pay allowed
by Law until the 3d Day of April 1783 except in Cases where they
have wilfully absented themselves. —
To George Grason Lieutenant of the Barge Revenge, the Pay of
Lieutenant to the first Day of January 1783.
To each of the men taken Prisoners on board the Barge Revenge, at
the time of the Death of Commodore Grason, half pay until the Ist
Day of January 1783.
That the Accounts of the wounded Men for Medicine be paid. —
That all the Clothing remaining in the Hands of Thomas Johnson
Junr Paymaster of the Barges be delivered to the Intendant of the
Revenue, with the request of this Board to be delivered out to such
of the Invalid Soldiers now in this City as he may think are most in
need. —
The Council adjourned till to morrow morning 11 "Clock. —

The Board allow Mr Thomas Johnson Junr for his Services as
Paymaster and Clothier to the Crews of the several Barges employed
