James McComus, John Ramsey, James Phillips, John Hall of Cran-
berry, Abraham Whitaker, Alexander Cowan, Ignatius Wheeler and
Robert Amos appointed Justices of the Peace for Harford County. —
Benedict Edward Hall, John Love, Thomas Bond of Thomas, John
Archer, Samuel Hughes Judges of the Orphans Court for said
County. —
The Honorable John H Stone Esquire attended. —
Commissions issued to Joseph Selby, Joseph Dashiell, Nehemiah
Holland, Ebenezer Handy, Thomas Prunall, Sinepuxl, James Selby,
Joshua Townsend, John Postley, Josiah Mitchell, John Parramore,
Isaac Layfield, William Stevenson, Peter Chaille, William Morris,
Colo Samuel Handy, Philip Quinton and John Pope Mitchell Justices
of the Peace for Worcester County. — John Selby, Nehemiah Holland

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday. —

A Petition from Lemuel Johnson, of Worcester County, was re-
ceived and read, setting forth, that he had been fined, the Sum of
five hundred pounds, Current Money for not Marching as a Draught
in the Year Seventeen hundred and seventy eight, and that the same
if levied would ruin his Family, consisting of a Wife and four small
Children; and therefore praying to be relieved there from; and the
Board taking the same into Consideration, & it appearing that the
