We request you will issue rations to all Continental Soldiers as
usual, and as there are no Commissioned Officers in this City to
sign the Provision returns it will be necessary to issue on the returns
of some trusty Serjeant. —

Present His Excellency the Governor
Benja Stoddert, Jer. T. Chase, Jas Brice & Jno H Stone Esquires.—
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Cain
sixty six pounds, one shilling and ten pence and to John Mitchell
forty five pounds, five shillings specie agreeable to the "Act to adjust
the Debts due from this State " per Certificates adjusted the 2"
Instant. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Gal-
braith Two pounds, twelve shillings and six pence specie agreeable to
the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per Certificate ad-
justed & passed. —

Tuesday 6th May 1783.

Present His Excellency the Governor & all Members of the
Council
Brice T. B. Worthington, and Philip Key Esquires from the House
of Delegates acquaint his Excellency the Governor that there is a
sufficient number of Members convened to compose a house of Dele-
gates. The Gentlemen after delivering the Message withdrew. —
Permission given to John Nixon Master of the Schooner Adven-
ture, to proceed to New York, having on board one hundred barrels
of Tar. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue a Certificate to
Isaac Van Bibber agreeable to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of
this State, Creditors of Congress on Loan Office Certificates &ca "
for seven thousand and three pounds, nine shillings and two pence
half penny due him on Continental Loan Office Certificates adjusted
by the Depy Aud. the 5th Instant. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Isaac Van Bibber eight hundred
and forty seven pounds, fourteen shillings and three pence half penny
specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State
due him on sundry Certificates adjusted the 5th Instant. —
