[Council to Mr David Poe, D. Q. M.]
There is a considerable Quantity of Cloathing and Accoutriments,
under the Care of the Officer who will deliver you this, of very great
Importance to the Southern Army. The Vessel in which these Stores
are at present, is, by the Report of the Officer, unfit to proceed on
her Voyage, and unless some immediate Step is taken to forward
them, the Service of the Continent will be greatly injured. We there-
fore request you to use every Means in your Power to comply with
the reasonable Requisition the Officer may make.
