pounds, eight shillings — John Norris ten pounds, ten shillings Igna-
tius Bryan nine pounds, eight shillings and four pence, Henry Norris
seven pounds, fifteen shillings — Aaron Wenfrey fourteen shillings
and eleven pence — Ignatius Howard ten pounds and Samuel Silk
fifteen pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission
of Bills of Credit &ca due them per Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Kilty seven pounds of the
same Emission for the use of Lieut John Kilty & Doctr William
Kilty in lieu of part of an Order of the 22d September last on Issuing
Commissary for Stores on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut John Lynn thirty two pounds,
one Shilling for Stores to the 1st Instant — nine pounds for a Waist-
coat & pair of Breeches defecient the last Year — thirty pounds in
lieu of a Suit of Cloaths and four Shirts for the present Year and
also the further sum of thirty pounds of the same Emission agree-
able to a Resolution of this Board 22d July 1781 on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to John L Elbert Apothecary to the
Southern Army twenty seven pounds, nine shillings for Stores to
the 31 of December last, thirty pounds in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths and
four Shirts for the Year 1781 — Thirty pounds agreeable to a Reso-
lution of this Board 22 July last and sixteen pounds, fifteen shillings
and eight pence of the same Emission defeciency of Clothing for
1780 on Account. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Forrest seventeen pounds
fifteen shillings and four pence for the use of Lieut William Rapour
& his Detachment of Militia, six pounds, thirteen shillings and four
pence for the use of Lieut John Reeder & his men per Pay rolls ex-
amined and passed and also Twenty four pounds, fifteen shillings &
five pence of the Same Emission due on a Certificate issued agree-
able to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Uriah Forrest twelve hundred
and nineteen pounds, eleven shillings and six pence specie agreeable
to the Act to adjust the Debts due from the State p Certs adjusted
& passed.
That Doctr Murray be requested to supply Lieut John Lynn with
two pounds of Jesuits Bark. —

For these two Weeks past, we have been greatly distressed by the
Accounts we were constantly receiving of the Depredations of the
Enemy in the Bay and on the Shores, and we have this Moment,
Information, that they were as high up last Saturday, as Sharp's
Island, some Distance above the Mouth of Patuxent, where they
have made a Number of Captures; and what adds sensibly to our
