[Gov. Lee's statement relating to the above petition]

I have thought proper that all Proceedings at Law against Ben-
jamin Light who was committed to the Gaol of Washington County
on Suspicion of passing Counterfeit Money in November 1780 should
cease and that the said Benjamin Light be discharged on Condition
that he forthwith enlist himself into some one of the Regiments of
this State in the Service of the United States for the Term of three
years and that he do not depart from the service during the said
Term of three years.
