any of the Islands described by the Law during the present War
under the Penalties mentioned therein and all Vessels Boats or
Canons employed by any Person to pass to any of the said Islands
without your Leave are liable to Seizure and forfeiture. We request
your Particular Attention to this part of the Law.

Wednesday 25th April 1781

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Jonathan
Morris of the 7th Regimt fifty pounds agreeable to a Resolution of
the General Assembly passed last Session in favor of the Officers
who had been in Captivity.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Hyde two hundred and
fifty pounds on Account of his Salary.
That the said Treasurer pay to James Brooks Twenty two pounds
ten shillings for a Blank Book for the use of the Council.
That the said Treasurer pay to Adam Rebb five pounds, twelve
shillings and six pence due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Johnson five pounds twelve
shillings and six pence due him per Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Ballard one hundred and
eighty pounds in lieu of sixty Pounds Specie for a Horse sold Colo
Lee's Corps by John Smith as p Certificate of A McLane of the 23''
Febry 1781 to be chd to Contr
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Chrisf Reyner formerly
a Soldier in the 4th Maryland Regimt transferred on Account of his
wounds to the Corps of Invalids one Shirt one pair of Overalls &
one pair of Shoes.
That the Collector of the Tax for Baltimore County pay to Colo
Saml Smith one hundred and ninety seven pounds, eighteen shillings
and six pence the Principal and Interest of a Certificate of A McLane
of the 20th January 1781 for a Horse purchased by him for Colo Lee's
Legion to be charged to the Continent.
James Maccubbin Lingan appointed Captain Philip Hill Lieut
Erasmus Gantt Cornet of a Company of Cavalry directed to be raised
by the Act for the Defence of the Bay.
John Bullen appointed to purchase the Dragoon Horses for the
above Company.
Theodore Middleton appointed Capt. Lieutt of a Company of Foot
to serve in this State for one year.
George P. Keeports appointed Captain and John Mcfadon Capt
Lieutenant of the Fort to be erected on Drum point in Calvert County
agreeable to the directions of the above mentioned Act.
