Friday 9th February 1781.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to William
Morrison late a Soldier in the 7th Regimt one suit of Cloaths, one
shirt, one pair of shoes and one pair of Stockings on Account.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to James Porterfield two
hundred thousand pounds of Tobacco including four per Cent for
Cask to be paid over to James Clay Esqr Dep7 Paymaster of the
Southern Army in lieu of three hundred and twenty thousand Dollars
for his order in favor of Peter Mallett Esquire, in Virtue of a Reso-
lution of Congress of June last.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Edward
Spurrier of the 4th Regimt fifteen pounds, thirteen shillings and six
pence three farthings of the new Emission in lieu of six hundred
and thirty two pounds, twelve shillings and six pence due him per
Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt. Edward Spurrier
nineteen Gallons of Rum and seventy four pounds of Sugar due him
for the year 1780.
Commissions issued to Henry Boarman appointed Capt. in the
room of Alexander McPherson. Henry Dent Capt in the room of
Benjamin Philpot and Richard Bennett Boarman Capt in the room
of Capt. Winters in the Twelfth Batt. of Militia in Charles County.
Zephaniah Turner Esquire appointed Auditor General by the
General Assembly in the room of Uriah Forrest who resigned, after
having first Executed a Bond to the State as required by a Resolution
of the General Assembly and Thomas Gassaway appointed Deputy
Auditor, produced Certificates of their Qualification and the same
filed.

Mr Ridley has made us an Offer of a Quantity of Baze which we
will [ ] for 2 3/4 for every and also a Parcel of Stockings
at the same Rate. We desire you to examine these Articles, and
should you think they will answer our Purpose, we request you would
take Charge of them and write us immediately.
