Request to order a full Company of Militia from that County to
march to Frederick Town.

Tuesday 6th February 1781

Stephen West Esquire elected a Member of the Council to the
Governor appeared & Qualified by taking the several Oaths required
by the Form of Government and Laws of this State, Certificate
thereof being produced he took his Seat.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Zachariah Duvall
three pounds eighteen shillings and nine pence of the new Emission
in lieu of one hundred and fifty seven pounds, ten shillings due him
per Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt William Brown Twenty
pounds six shillings and three pence of the same Emission in lieu of
eight hundred and twelve pounds, ten shillings due himself, nineteen
pounds, eighteen shillings and one penny half penny of the same
Emission in lieu of seven hundred and ninety six pounds, five shil-
lings for the use of Lieut John Carson and eighteen pounds, five
shillings and seven pence half penny of the same Emission in lieu of
seven hundred and thirty one pounds, five shilings for the use of
Capt. James Smith per Acets passed by the D. Aud.
That John Crisall send fifteen Bushels of salt to John Smith
Brookes at Upper Marlbro.
That the said John Crisall Issuing Commissary deliver to Lieutt
John Chever of the Maryland Artillery two Gallons of Rum and
eight pounds of Sugar due him for the Month of January.
That the Commissary of stores deliver to Benjamin Marsh and
Philip Savoy of the 1st Regiint each a Suit of Cloaths and one
Blanket, Dennis Trummell one pair of Breeches one Shirt & one
pair of shoes, Thomas Clements one pair of Breeches one Shirt one
pair of shoes & one pair of Stockings, William Clements one pair of
slices and one shirt of the Regt Extra and to Ignatius Mitchell
Wheeler of the 7th Regimt one pair of breeches, one pair of shoes,
one pair Stockings & one Shirt.

In Consequence of the enclosed Resolution of the General Assem-
bly of the 2d Feb. 1781 we directed Capt Brown to march his
Company to Frederick Town to strengthen the Guard over the
British Convention Troops, and have been since informed that you
