Saturday 6th January 1781

Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut Clement
Skerret of Capt. Browns Company of Artillery Linen for two shirts
in part of the Articles allowed for the year 1781. And also to Joel
Baker a Recruit for the Maryland Artillery a suit of Cloaths &ca the
Bounty allowed by the Genl Assembly.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to the said Lieut Clement
Skerret Thirty pounds of the new Emission agreeable to a Resolu-
tion of the General Assembly passed 30th December last on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Thomas Cleland Eleven
pounds five shillings of the same Emission in lieu of four hundred
and fifty pounds due himself Three pounds, two shillings and six
pence of the same Emission in lieu of one hundred and twenty five
pounds for the use of Gideon Ireland and also Three pounds, two
shillings and six pence of the same Emission in lieu of one hundred
and twenty five pounds for the use of Driver Greaves due them p
Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo James Kent sixty nine Pounds
fourteen shillings and seven pence half penny of the same Emission
in lieu of two thousand seven hundred and eighty nine pounds five
shillings to be delivered over to Colo Philip Fiddeman per Acct
passed by the Aud. Genl

Ordered the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Lieut. John J.
Jacob of the 6th Regiment thirty Pounds of the new Emission agree-
able to a Resolution of the General Assembly passed the 30 Decem-
ber last on Account and also the further sum of Four pounds four
shillings and a half penny of the same Emission in lieu of one hun-
dred and sixty eight pounds ten shillings due him p Acct passed by
the A. Genl
That the Commissary of Issues deliver to the said Capt John J.
Jacob four Gallons of Rum and twenty four pounds of Sugar due
him for the year 1780
That the Lieutenant of Ann Arundel County be requested to fur-
nish immediately a Guard of Militia to consist of one Captain and
two privates to escort sixty thousand Dollars of the new Bills emit-
ted by Congress to the Treasurer of the Eastern shore.

Monday 8th January 1781

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to William Hutch-
inson Two hundred pounds of the new Emission to be delivered over
to John S. Brookes on account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Daniel Carroll one hundred and
seventy five pounds of the same Emission in lieu of an Order of the
14th July last in his favor for seven thousand pounds, which said
order is now returned.
