A Message from the Lower house by Messrs Sheredine and
Gresham
By the Lower house of Assembly 12 Novemr 1746
May it please your Honours
It appearing to this house that Paper and Parchment is wanting
for the use of the Publick, and as there is a Ballance, remaining in
the hands of the Executors of Col Samuel Young of £13..16..8 in
Current Gold due on the Duty of Twenty shillings sterling p head
on Irish Papists and Negroes imported into this Province, We pro-
pose that that Ballance be taken out of the said Executors hands by

an Order drawn on them payable to Mr Philip Hammond, who has
undertaken to convert that Sum into a Bill of Exchange and send to
England for Paper and Parchment for the Use of the Publick to the
Amount thereof if Your Honours concurr therewith

Adjourned till three of the Clock in the Afternoon

The following Message is sent by Col Lloyd
By the Upper house of Assembly 12 Novemr 1746
Gentlemen
In Answer to your Message of this Morning by Messrs Lloyd and
Wilkinson about disposing of the Ballance due in Gold Currency
from the Estate of Col Young. We concur with your house as to
the Application of that Money in the Manner you propose

The following Message is sent with the Journal of Accounts by
Daniel Dulany Esqr
By the Upper house of Assembly 12 Novemr 1746
Gentlemen
We herewith return the Journal of Accounts, in which We ob-
serve you have made no Allowance for the several Articles men-
tioned in a Message sent from this house on the 4th of July in the
last Session, nor is there any Allowance made to the Governor in
Discharge of his Disbursements on the Governors house, and which
was recommended in Septemr 1745 to the then Lower house
