We have the honor to submit the Thirty-third Volume of the Mary-
land Archives, being the Proceedings and Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland from May 28, 1717, to April 22, 1720.

In consequence of the death, on December 13, 1912, of the late Dr.
William Hand Browne, who was Editor of the Archives from the
beginning of their publication in 1883, the present Volume has, under
appointment by the Society, been edited by the chairman of this Com-
mittee.
